Hugh is a solicitor with experience assisting both private and government clients. He currently practises across corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, and property development.

Prior to his admission, Hugh gained valuable experience at an international law firm, working on a broad spectrum of legal matters across both front-end advisory and complex litigation matters.

In the commercial space, Hugh has acted for business owners, funds managers, financiers and investors, including ASX-listed entities, SMEs and high net worth individuals. Hugh assists clients across a wide variety of industries, including franchising, health, technology and financial services. He provides strategic legal advice and also drafts complex service contracts, loan documentation and business sale agreements. With a background in the financial services industry, Hugh has a strong understanding of the complexity of financial products and their regulation. He provides clients with practical and cost-effective outcomes to achieve their commercial objectives.

As a wills and estates lawyer, Hugh assists clients with their estate planning, business succession and exit strategies. He works with business owners, high net worth individuals and Australian families. Hugh’s familiarity with Australia’s superannuation system and taxation policies enables him to work with accountants and financial advisers to preserve clients’ legacies and protect their financial interests.

Outside of work, Hugh enjoys exploring the beautiful waterways around the Gold Coast and camping in its expansive hinterland, weather permitting.
